Yes to it all. And I would add that sometimes the emotion of grief looks like anger or a sense of betrayal. And those emotions too can be brought to our heavenly father and poured out plainly. It's not "godly" to bottle our anger and let bitterness grow. Pour out your heart. And where there is sin, it can be repented of at the throne, where God will graciously forgive it.

Thank you very much, Kara, for sharing how you as a family are beginning to process this tremendous and sudden loss in our lives. It is so helpful to validate that we will all process this differently and “in waves”…I love that analogy with the waves lapping up to the shore…big and smaller waves…their consistency…pointing also to God’s faithfulness…being open and transparent with each other and granting each other lots of space and encouraging dialogue, praying together and for each other and pointing each other to God’s Word will help us all to grow through this hard time. Thanks again, Kara. I love you! 💗

Thankyou for your encouraging words. I just lost my lifetime friend, my dear Mom at 102 years old Even at that age it’s a great loss! She was my inspiration! It would be selfish to hope for more. She’s safe in the arms of Jesus and has joined the heavenly throng who will sing praises for ever more. Oh how she could sing! Now without end!
